Hyderabad, October 8: The Andhra Pradesh Excise and Prohibition Department has issued notification for filling up 2,606 vacancies in the state. The combined notification was issued in Hyderabad and there will be district wise notifications by respective collectors detailing the vacancies in each district.

Total Number of Excise Constable Posts vacant: –A total of 2,606 Excise Constable Posts were announced, of which 1,771 reserved for Men and 835 allocated for women candidates.
Educational Qualification for Excise Constable Post: Candidate should pass 10th Class. Along with SSC/10th, if candidates has NCC certificate, he/she will get thee bonus marks for final tally of marks.
Age limits for Excise Constable Posts: Candidates have to complete the 18 years as on 1st July 2012 and also He or She should be below 30 years of age.

Important Dates for Excise Constable Recruitment: –Applications submission to begin: 15th October 2012. –Last Date to apply: 5th November 2012.
Physical Test Details for Excise Constable Posts: —Four kilometers running in 20 minutes for men. –Two kilometers in 13 minutes for women. —100 meters running in 15 seconds for men and 18 seconds for women. —1.20 meters High Jump test for men. Women candidates exempted. —Long Jump for men is 3.8 meters and for women its 2.75 meters Long Jump. —Shot Foot for men will be 7.26 meters and for women it is 4.5 meters. —800 meters running in 2.50 minutes is a must for men. Candidates need to complete all these physical tests to get entry to the written test.
Excise Constable Recruitment Written Test Details: The written test will be for 100 marks. Exam will be in 10th class standard with objective type questions.
