Micro air vehicles or micro aerial vehicles(MAV) are a class of unmanned aerial vehicles which are capable of doing many useful missions,most importantly military missions.These small vehicles are also capable for performing other operations such as urban,commercial,etc.Small size allows remote observation of hazardous environments which are inaccessible to ground vehicles.The driving force behind every attempt of developing a micro air vehicle is DARPA (US Defense Advanced Research Project Agency).In a MAV,the required lift for flight is generated by rotary or flapping wings,out of the two latter is of greater attention by MAV researchers.Flapping wing design is very complicated also.I am posting a PPT prepared by me for my final year seminar,i will upload my Draft and supporting articles later .............
