Positive Degree: It tells that a particular thing or object is soft. i.e it has the quality of softness or a particular person is tall/ she has the quality of tallness. e.g Silk is soft Comparative Degree: Compares one thing or person with another and points out the one of the two having the more or stronger quality specifically mentioned. e.g Silk is softer than cotton Superlative Degree: Points out the thing or person having the greatest amount or strength of the particular quality mentioned among all the things mentioned. e.g Silk is the softest of all the dress materials.
